Meet Rasheidra Harmon
Hi, I am Rasheidra Harmon, author of 'Poetry of Life' and 'You Are Perfect The Way You Are.' Welcome to my page!
I am from the Eastern Shore of Virginia and am the mother of four children and one fur baby. I am a sister to a few, a aunt to many, a friend to some, and a family member to almost everyone that gets to know me – yes, I am that kind of energy! In addition, I’m a member of the illustrious sisterhood of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
During my early education, I attended Accomack County Public Schools and graduated from Arcadia High School. Go Firebirds! After graduating high school, I furthered my education - obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (Go Hawks!) and a Master of Education with a focus in Elementary and Secondary School Counseling from Wilmington University. I am currently undergoing the most significant feat in my academic career - a Doctorate in Applied Behavioral Analysis at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Currently, I am School Counselor and have held a variety of titles within the field over the last 14 years. My free time is spent with my family, writing books, attending book exhibits, singing with youth and young adult choir members at my home church, attending sorority events, and traveling with my siblings.
This book is for any age group! Sometimes we all need to be reminded just how perfect we are. This book does just that it reiterates that we can be big, skinny, bold, and beautiful or handsome.
The Poetry of Life is a book of poems that answers questions that teenagers may have and/or discuss thoughts and topics from a teenager's view.

What they are saying about
"You are perfect the way you are"...
I just happened to come across this book and it is very positive and uplifting. It is a great book to read to your kids. It teaches kids to love themselves and any perceived quirks that they think they may have. In turn, this helps with their self-esteem now and in the long run! This should be a part of every children’s library!
